"I would like to thank The Newfoundland Club and its members for giving me the honour of judging their 2025 Championship Show. I also want to thank my stewards on the day for keeping the ring flowing. We had a great time together. I am grateful to all the exhibitors who showed under me and accepted my decisions. And I also want to thank the Club for great hospitality and looking after me in the best possible way.

This was my first time judging Newfoundlands in the UK. I think the overall quality was very good and consistent. The Kennel Club also want me to report my observations according to the Breed Watch Health Monitoring. I think the dogs in general were very sound. I had a few overweight dogs but far from the degree to report. In my report to the KC I wrote I had 2-3 dogs with loose eye lids worth mentioning. So, to sum it up, I think the health status isn't worrying at all.
