"Firstly, I would like to thank the Kennel Club for inviting me to Judge this prestigious show that is Crufts 2022. Secondly, my Stewards on the day for their help and support which was invaluable. I would like to thank all of the exhibitors from this country and abroad who allowed me the pleasure of judging their dogs, making my day such an enjoyable experience.

All the dogs were of good temperament which is a must in a Newfoundland. A few of the younger ones were a little unnerved when being judged which I personally put down to the noise of being in such a lerge show. Presentation was first class.

On a more serious note, I am concerned as I witnessed a considerable number of dogs with proud tails combined with a few short tails which is sadly creeping into the breed. This however did ot distract from my placings on the day."
