"Super entry under today’s circumstances - I really appreciated the time and effort the Newfie folks put into presentation - overall I found a lot of quality especially in the upper classes - both limit and open classes in each sex had some quality dogs - type still varied as with a lot of breeds nowadays but I was more than pleased with both my line ups and also noted some quality babies who have just arrived on the scene - I will watch their progress eagerly. I thought overall substance in both sexes was good, body length in some need to be watched as that extra length came from longer loins which isn’t great for a draft breed such as Newfs - angulation a bit excessive in some which I don’t like but may look impressive to some, heads varied and so did eyes with a couple of really loose skin covering eye lids which was concerning, pleased to say movement overall was very good and soundness went alongside - I really enjoyed judging this lovely breed at CC level for the first time and was so pleased with the lovely ringside manner and sportsmanship shown throughout my days judging, it was a real pleasure for me, many thanks."
