It is completely free for everyone to use and to contribute to and there is zero advertising, no 'pop-ups' and no hidden agenda. Being completely new to Newfoundlands we did our 'research' before deciding that a newfie was right for us and in the process collected a large amount of data (from publicly available sources) on bloodlines and showing. This site is our way of sharing that data and our enthusiasm for the breed with other newfie owners, breeders, exhibitors and enthusiasts. We hope you enjoy it and find it useful. As yet VERY incomplete so extra info or corrections gratefully received. Additions and Amendments We are keen to add new photographs, dogs and critiques so if owners, breeders or judges are able to contribute those, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Health information is really important so details of hips, elbows, hearts and cystinuria status is appreciated. The site will be updated regularly, particularly with show results/critiques, and we have plans to add extra features and functions, as time permits. We hope you'll visit again. UK Newfoundland Breed Club Sites The Newfoundland Club web site is the place to go on the Internet for information and advice. We found it incredibly helpful in understanding the breed, potential health issues and not just the showing but working possibilities and opportunities with this wonderful breed. The Northern Newfoundland Club of Great Britain hold a breed Championship show, an Open show and working and draught tests. Their web site is first class and highly informative with some super photographs. Formed in 2008, the Southern Newfoundland Club organise water and draught tests, health seminars and other breed activities. The Kennel Club have just recognised and registered the SNC as an official UK Breed Club, membership is growing and the club is going from strength to strength. They have a highly informative and regularly updated web site which is well worth exploring. The Newfoundland Club of Ireland have a new website which is regularly updated with news and show results from Ireland. Newly formed, the Emerald Isle Newfoundland Club is for pet owners as well as show owners for All-Ireland. The Club aims to do Draught work, Water work and organise Newfie fun events as well as a show.
